Stripe is seeking Backend Engineer Interns to build scalable APIs and infrastructure powering online payments for millions of businesses. Work on mission-critical systems processing billions in transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs

• Build distributed systems handling high-volume payment processing

• Optimize database queries and system performance

• Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams

• Write clean maintainable code with comprehensive tests

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field

• Strong programming skills in Ruby Java Go or Python

• Understanding of databases distributed systems and API design

• Experience from internships coursework or side projects

• Expected graduation by Summer 2027
