Robinhood is seeking Backend Engineer Interns to build and own backend services powering core financial products. Gain unique insights into US financial systems while working on infrastructure serving millions of investors.

Responsibilities:

• Design build test and release backend services for Robinhood's financial products

• Maintain and scale existing codebase using Python Django Go PostgreSQL and Kafka

• Partner with cross-functional teams to solve critical problems across the organization

• Collaborate with financial institutions to build products and gain industry insights

• Work closely with dedicated mentor to deepen understanding of fintech domain

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in full-time degree program with expected graduation Winter 2026 or Spring 2027

• Strong computer science fundamentals and software engineering skills

• Passion and interest in financial technology and investing

• Prior software engineering experience from internships hackathons or side projects

• Familiarity with Python Django or Go and understanding of databases
